I don't think my nose has warmed up since yesterday's hike.....sure was a gorgeous morning, though, and I have several images from the walk that I thought might work for this challenge. Might work....what do you think? Does any single image stand out? Are they on-target for the theme?

I like all three of these - #1 appears more golden to me, but the brightness of the sky seems distracting - maybe a large crop off the top & left side, down to the golden parts of the photo? #2 just doesn't seem that silver, maybe play with the color levels? And #3 doesn't seem that golden either - but you could probably play with the levels on it also. I really like the fog coming off the water in #1, especially where it's golden!

Gorgeous shots! Maybe it's my pathetic lack of imagination, but not certain how strong they are on the theme, however. I agree that tweaking the white balance or color levels might make them stronger thematically.

Thanks for the feedback! I played around a bit to get closer to the theme and this is my result......with the lines of the tree trunks, I couldn't help but think of jewelry by Renee Lalique that I saw in this gorgeous book and all the Newcomb School and Rookwood Pottery that you see on Antique's Roadshow..

Ahh Frosty and CHilly hikes...How I miss them!

Wonder what kind of Golden evening photo you could get at this place?

Otherwise that last one is pretty nice!

Thanks, Tom! The beauty of mornings on the Wabash this time of year is greatly enhanced by the mist rolling off the river at sunrise....the hoarfrost ices the cake, so to speak.....
But, oh, give me a warm summer evening at twilight with the fireflies along the river banks and swifts wheeling above the water....with just a sliver of a moon..........some day, I'd love to take that photo...
