Hi everyone,
I made a huge mistake on this photo with a shadow on the moms face:/ I need some help removing the shadow. Any photoshop tutorials or tips would be great.
Thanks,
Cody

I have a few ideas, it should not be hard to reduce or perhaps remove the shadow.
I will try to post a sample in a day or so when I have time. Until then, is it possible for you to supply a larger crop of the face in question (working low res is easy, higher res files are often harder and one may need to use a different approach)?
EDIT: Very quick edit attached, much better can be done with a high resolution or raw camera data file.

Thank you! What res would be better?

If you have a raw camera file, that is best. There are a number of free online hosting or file transfer methods available (YouSendIt, DropBox etc).
If you have a SmugMug account or another way to host a large file, then crop the general area around the head and neck at the full original resolution...that way you could use what I edit (I will also post rough notes so that you can have a go yourself).
Otherwise a crop at the highest resolution that you can (the more pixels the better).
I also presume that the shadow under the face on the neck needs to be reduced (but perhaps not as much as the ladies face?).
All is not lost!

Increase the exposure as far as it will go without blowing the skin.
Turn it into a high key photo.
Change it to a bright but low contrast black and white.
