I joined DGrin just over a year ago, about the time everybody started posting their "Best of '09" shots - so I'll go ahead and post my favorites (while they might not always be my technical best) of the year. And oh, what a year it's been. Here's last year's "Best of" here, wow how things have changed. Acquiring a 40D and accessories for Christmas of '09 was a great way to start a year!
Ivar has a sticky for favorites to be posted, so instead of bogging down that thread, I figure I'd start my own.

1. Wedding of a dear friend on Jan 2, 2010 - way to start off the year! We didn't add the graffiti, it was already there.

2. Hannah, 8 days. Late January 2010. One of my husband's favorite (and not just because I took it). I took a shot of this with my cell phone to text to my husband as a teaser, converted it to b/w with the in-phone editor and texted it out. He sent back a "you didn't take that, where'd you steal it from?" text. Haha, yes, I did and the camera version was WAY better than the phone version. This shot is on our business cards we love it so much.

3. My son, April of 2010. He's vertical, promise. He acquired the shirt/tie for Christmas of '09 and I made him promise me a shoot in it before he outgrew it, I let him pick the location and the day and off we went. Such a natural - when he wants to be.

4. Reagan, 3 months. Spring, 2010 "The blue eyed baby" my husband calls her, I don't even think he knows her name.

5. Molly, 5 days. September 2010. Mom still has this for her Facebook profile picture. This isn't a composite, promise.

6. Jenny and Trent, Fall, 2010. My BFF and I are in a boat out in a pond, she's steering and I'm shooting as fast as my camera recycles. The bride shot my wedding, so this holds two places in my heart, not just one.

7. Wes and Lara, October 2010. I posted this as a C&C and Ted (Moogle Pepper) said "Blow this one up on an aluminum canvas ddooooo iitttt" - so I'm guessing it's a winner

8. Leo, 10 months. Fall 2010. I get mixed reviews on this one, but I love it, so it's staying.

9. Mikayla, 2 weeks. November 2010. The smile was complete luck, Mom had stepped out of the room and Mikayla started flirting. There's a big print of this sitting beside me as I type, actually.

10. Jenny's shoes. November 2010. The owner of these shoes is standing under the mossy oak tree a few shots up. All natural light. The heart locket has a real sappy story behind it so it needed to be in as many shots as possible. No worries, I can shoot me some jewelry on a sunny day.

Molly's getting her 3-month shots done sometime very soon, I had her scheduled for a few weeks ago and got sick, then got busy and now Christmas is in four days... they're coming - very soon, though!!
I'm surprised I narrowed it down to 10, that was shocking actually.

Little Sweet Molly is getting all kinds of love! She was barely seven pounds in that shot, sooo tiny she fit IN a hat!! I can't wait to see how big she is for her three month shoot!
