Need to Light the Backdrop

Hi All,

I am looking for some advice. I currently have two Alien Bees AB800s.

I like the two lights on my subject and am often removing and replacing the background in Photoshop.

Looking for a good and economical way to evenly and brightly light the backdrop (white or green) and continue using the AB800s on the subjects.

I would love to find something not so expensive that could be triggered by the Paul Buff (CST CyberSync™ Trigger) wireless trigger I use for the ABs.

What should I use to light the background? I have two work lights already from Home Depot but they get awfully hot very quick so I don't like those.

Are there any decent cool fluorescents that would do the job or do I need more flashes?

If flashes are the way to go can I get something cheaper than $200+ each for AB400s or AB800s that will work with the trigger I have?

Thanks for any help.

Andy

I have not tried it but this might be an economical solution for a while.

Check ebay for them as I think you can get them cheaper and with the gel kit for about the same price...

Thanks for the reply. I checked out their site and will look a little closer when I get home. Looks like it might work just fine.

Has anyone else had any experience with Cowboy Studio lights?
