So there we were all around the western hemisphere, at exactly the same time, tripods, cameras, and eyes all fastened on the same point! From Alaska, with temps hovering around zero, here's what *I* saw last night.
I'll skip the full-sized shot of the moon, since you've all seen that and my 300mm Sigma will not do it justice. Instead, here's the whole first half in five minute increments:
At this point the clouds moved in and shut it off from view, so we packed up and headed indoors to melt the icicles and warm our toes. But first we snagged a couple scenery shots. Here's looking across the cold water at the lights of Anchorage.
