I live in Perth Western Aust, our nearest island escape is a 30 min ferry ride away on an island Called Rottnest.
2 weeks back we headed over for a weekend getaway.
Here's a few photo's of the very cute locals.

Eating a cherry tomato

Mushy, that first shot is adorable, with one hind leg off the ground a bit, and the tomato looking so juicy. But I gotta tell you, the children are even more adorable! Best, Pam

It was fun watching the kids both just over 2 years old following the quokka's around.

Is it really a rodent or a marsupial? Very cute either way!

the island when first discovered was named rats nest as they mistook quokka's for rats! only later was it renamed to Rottnest Island.
