    I like how you can see all the details of your face without all the added PP work to soften things.
    This has a hard edge to it that I like.

    I think it's generally well done. It's certainly an affecting study, with a documentary feel. (So belongs in one of the oldest traditions of photography.) Technically quite good. The composition-crop is one of the best things about it. If I were to crit I'd mention opening the shadows of the beard enough to see detail. It's a tricky pose to light, but you might have spot metered for the beard and compromised from that. (Why did I suspect that you were an Aussie?)

    Very nice. As Neil stated the lack of detail in the beard doesn't fit in with all the extreme detail contained in the rest of the image. Sadly, because the beard is in the middle of the photo ... it really stands out. But this is just a nit, overall .... nicely done.
