Merry Christmas everyone! It's been a while since I've had a chance to shoot. since everything is wrapped, baked, cleaned, shopped, decorated, blessed and packed, I had a few minutes tonight to pick up my camera.

If anyone is checking in here over the holiday, I'd like to know if any of these are worthy. If I don't get snowed in, I can re-shoot this weekend.

I hope everyone enjoys some peaceful time with family and friends.

Chris

Hi Chris!! Wishing you a Warm Holiday!

I was hoping someone would get to these kind of lovely tangible golden objects! That Box and it's golden textures are almost palpable!

I like your Moon Shot, and if that Moon does it's thing again, I'd also encourage you to explore it more....not that it isn't well framed and all, but that I think with some toning it could be a better Silver!

But overall my vote is on the Ornament/s!

    Tom,
Thanks for looking in. My husband got the cloisonne box ornament in a family ornament exchange a few Christmases ago. I joked that it was the perfect size for jewerly and that he must fill it each year.

As I undecorated the tree last year, I jokingly chided him for not filling the box. When I opened it to dramatically tease him how empty it was, there was a lovely diamond necklace in it! I can't wait to undecorate the tree this year!

There's a story about the fat lady ornament, too. But I'll save it for another time.

When people refer to toning, what exactly do they mean? How does one get 'silver' in a 2-dimensional medium?

Kudo's to your Hubby! He's a very Smart and Ingenious guy!

I agree with Silver Comment...How does one do so? Silver is going to look white-ish, right?

My thoughts were to take several shots of that moon and layer them ending up with a Moon that is less blownout...and thats about all I can suggest....kinda like this one below

Just an idea...doesn't mean it'll work for you...

Thanks!! For sharing those Christmas Stories!
