Just a heads up to anyone wanting to shoot The Palace of Fine Arts. There is major construction being done on the reflection side of the park. You can still walk the grounds but you are unable to access the parkside of the park (the most popular photography spot).
The park side (reflection side) is gated up making it difficult for someone under 6 feet tall to take a day shot and nearly impossible to take a night shot. I pinned my tripod and camera to the top of the gate and was only able to come away with the shot below. It's not the greatest but it is better than nothing.
Just wanted to give warning in case you're like me and will travel a great distance for a shot. I hate those kinds of surprises

Tough shot to get due to the construction. Bring a ladder. :-)
Still able to get this shot. Note the webbing in the ceiling.
