Jeff, I like the great egret photo because it looks like the birds wings are touching the water, and the turkey vulture shot because you get such a great, well lit look at both sides of its wings. Nice set! Best, Pam
it is a turkey but I did nail the exposer that time :ivarit was a fun day they most of the time fly high but this day they all flew low and it did not see me until that shutter made noise --thank you for commenting
Excellent pair of images Jeff. Its not easy to make a vulture capture look nice but you pulled it off.

Love the heron's wing touching the water and the reflection in the water. The photo of the turkey vulture is amazing, showing off its coloration and all.
Two beautiful shots! I LOVE egrets and herons.... and your first shot is wonderful with the wings just touching the water. It's sometimes hard to get heron and egret shots flying parallel to you, as they tend to fly "away" when startled (i.e., at a 90 to 180 degree angle to the frustrated photog!)
Nice work... nice DOF and beautiful clarity on both!

thanks Pam the bill open and wing in the water is why it was a keeper for me the turkey is the best exposer I have ever done on one of those darn birds --it's low flight made it easier for me
