New to Macro

So after having my camera for a couple of years and always being interested in macro photography, I decided to give it a try. The fish were shot with a Sigma 70-300 macro at 300mm macro. The other 3 pictures were shot with a 50mm 1.8 on a reversing ring. All were shot using a Nikon D80. Let me know what you think and any tips you might have to help me out along the way!

Good start !
The fish shots came out well,
THe last 3 shots look like you were using the reversed lens wide open with the very shallow DOF.

Thanks! You are correct on the last three shots. I was using a 50mm 1.8 wide open on a reversing ring. The lighting wasn't that great, and trying to hand hold for longer exposures just wasn't happening.

try to mount the 50 mm inverted in front of the Sigma , at 70
now that will give you close-up:D

nice shots, are they all natural light?
really need to use flash for sharper images

If by natural you mean the lamps there were on in the room. These were shot around 2am right after I put the baby down from his "midnight" feeding. I didn't want to use a flash and disturb him. I knew everything would have worked better with it though.
