New to Macro

So after having my camera for a couple of years and always being interested in macro photography, I decided to give it a try. The fish were shot with a Sigma 70-300 macro at 300mm macro. The other 3 pictures were shot with a 50mm 1.8 on a reversing ring. All were shot using a Nikon D80. Let me know what you think and any tips you might have to help me out along the way!

The fish shots came out well,
THe last 3 shots look like you were using the reversed lens wide open with the very shallow DOF.
