Christmas came a little early for me with an impulse buy from a local camera store. Anyway, I had a fun test shoot around Manchester and then took it on a business trip to Harare, Zim:

From hereon, I think this lens is going to be glued to my Olympus E-PL1.

very nice! I've considered one for my E-PL1, but unless I do have a trip where that's my primary camera, I haven't been able to justify it.

    YET :D

Congrats on the 20mm. I keep it on my E-PL1 nearly all the time, except when I am going outside and there is plenty of light and I need a little reach, in which case the kit lens goes back on. But otherwise my 20mm is my go-to lens for everything. It's great!

It looks like you are putting it to good use. It's a gem of a lens.

I assure you, I'm VERY good at 'creative' justifications ;) alas, when major appliances start dying off in the house, I find myself financially engaged elsewhere. bOO!

The real benefit the pancake has bought is that it changes the profile of the camera so that camera and lens comfortably fit in a laptop case. I can carry the kit zoom also but having a lens on all the time means that for the first time, I've not just photographed where I've travelled to but also the experience of travelling (shots at the airports I've passed through, for example - airports can be real gems of modern architecture).
