Hello - this may need to be moved to another forum - it kind of fits in business and in smugmug support. Anyway

I want to have calendars and greeting cards printed and offer them for sale.

I also want to produce a DVD for the boys soccer team and have it on display at our silent auction.

Shutterfly offers all 3 services.

I would REALLY like to be able to access this via smugmug. Is this likely? In the really near future?

Can anyone comment/provide positive feedback to shutterfly? Provide alternate service names?

Thanks for the help.

ann

    Hi andy

I am looking for a dvd of a series of photos, with music, to be displayed on a television as a slide show. Can I do that now with smugmug? I know I can order backups of photos, but I am looking for display purposes. Shutterfly offers this.

I have just stumbled upon a canadian site that offers greeting card printing at a good price, in quantities as small as 10. Finding Canadian sources for this stuff is important because then there is no worries about getting things through customs. (And, yes, customs will hold photo orders for long periods of time!!!)

    www.vistaprint.ca

I am pleased with that, and think I will order some to see if I can sell Christmas cards this year.

Still looking for sources for calendars. And hoping this (cards and calendars) will be offered by smugmug very soon.

ann, i've done tons of slideshows set to music - and put them out on dvd - i use ulead dvd maker software - i couldn't imagine *not* doing that myself, it's fun, and easy! you can even do it for free, or really cheap, with microsoft photostory if you prefer that.

We were talking with a friend, who has just started to sell calendars and other gift stuff - photo mugs and t-shirts - through the Cafepress site to help a dog rescue charity. Does anyone use it - we have looked through their homesite, it seems to offer a good niche service with lots of exposure, but I'd to know more from someone who knows of it or uses it. It is at http://cafepress.com - my dog-club friend with the new "shop" there is at http://cafepress.com/colliedesign - although in Australia she has already had some sales in USA from this California (I think) based site. Any opinions would be really welcome.

And yes they offer some kind of Affiliation-link to user websites but I'm not sure whether does what you are looking for.
