I like it, Joel. The comp and the lighting are both excellent.clap.gif

Those birds look like you placed them there, not thrown in! rolleyes1.gif

It really awesome shot, the colors, light and composition (like Dan said). thumb.gif

Very nice capture. Is that an eagle in the tree?

Thanks, Dan. Bosque can be pretty magical at the golden hour.

Thanks, Doug. Yes indeed. In fact, here's that same tree just moments later.

That's awesome! I love it when wildlife cooperates as part of a landscape. Someday I'll visit that place and others nearby, once I can convince Plumer to allow me to sleep in his driveway :D

I would crop (or clone out) the 3 pixels off the left to get rid of that partial bird (or stick) half way up as it's slightly distracting being on the edge of the frame (a minor nit - the image as a whole is sweet!!)

Thanks, Ron. Bosque is awesome. I'm glad you said something about bird on the left as that was bugging me as well. I cropped it off and replaced the image. Don't know if that breaks any Dgrin etiquette or not. rolleyes1.gif

I don't know about etiquette, but you just gave me a great idea for April Fool's! I'll post a good photo, wait for a dozen positive comments, and then replace it with an obviously crappy one and watch the confusion ensue :)

    Such a lovely shot.
It is a trip I am planning my daughter in law is from that area. I think a thanks giving trip is going to necessary in the near future. Last time in NM I did not have the equipment I have now. So many things there .

What a wonderful shot! I love the extra play of the birds.

And thanks for introducing me to Bosque del Apache - I clearly need to add it to my list of places to visit.

Thanks, Denise. Bosque is really a special place. I spent three days there this time and it wasn't nearly enough.
