Hi All,
I want to thank this challenge community for pushing me, teaching me and inspiring me to shoot things I would never think of shooting.
In the past few months, I've had the opportunity to share my photography through juried photography shows and sales.
I had 3 images selected for a juried photography contest (CPA). 85 images were selected from a pool of 285 entires. Each of my images were shot for a challenge. Sedum was for the Golden Sprial challenge, Gerber daisy in Blue was my original for Milk (altho I entered something else) and Awaiting the Storm (chair in the surf with the striped towel blowing in the wind) placed first in the Stripes challenge.
Awaiting the Storm won an honorable mention and a cash prize in the CPA show and was also selected for a juried display at our State Fair (and it sold for a nice price!)
I was also invited to be the artist-of-the-month at a local restaurant that sells art. I sold two very small pieces, and received good reviews. I'm heading into another show at a wine shop/gallery in mid Jan for 6 weeks.
I wouldn't have made this kind of progress without your help.
I hope to be able to participate a little more in the new year.
The best of 2011 to each of you.
Chris
