Went to the zoo today. Really, in the winter!!
Got some great big cat shots and also got the critters (humans and primates) to cooperate and pose for an idea I had of peering at each other through the protective 'glass'.

There is a second girl at the bottom left and you can see her face reflected in the glass on the gorilla's shoulder.

Still working on a title, maybe something like 'Evolutionary Looking Glass' or some such thing.

So how do these strike you? Feedback very much desired.

Thanks!

    Great expressions!

I think I like the 2nd better - the girl's head is turned so you see more of her face and the horizontal reflection at the top of the gorilla's head is a bit of a distraction in the 1st.

You might try cropping out the top of the 2nd girl's head. It may not be necessary to see all of her reflection.

    Well done! clap.gif

I like #2 better, agree about cropping out the top of the head in the lower left

I like this picture, but I find myself focusing on the reflection of the woman's face more than the gorilla.

Thanks for the feedback. Interesting point raised, is the relection of the girls face on the gorilla a good thing in that it reinforces the glass concept, or is it a distraction? I do have other shots where the reflection is not there. Do you think this idea is strong enough on the glass concept without that reflection?

    Thanks!

IMO it needs the reflection, I think it is very good for the theme!

I agree on the reflection, it was not there you kinda lose the glass connection. #2 the reflection is stronger.

Shoot from a slightly lower angle and you could almost overlay her reflection on the gorilla's face. That would be spooky. Hehe.

I'm with everyone else, as is #2 is the better of the two.

    Nice job.
