Interesting structure. Fits well with the theme. I would play around with some flash from various angles to light it up. With all that glass it could get interesting.
I thought of some incredible glass sculptures I have seen in Palm Desert CA for the challenge. but are 500 miles away from me
If you could shoot this with some controlled lighting you could have some fun! Put some LED penlights in some of the bottles, flashlights, whatever it takes!
Thanks for the suggestions... it's a really neat "recycled" sculpture that is in front of the animal shelter where we just adopted a cat. I don't know if I'll have a chance to go back at night... I just happened to have my camera in the car so I took a few pics of it while my wife filled out the paperwork for the "adoption". It was just before dusk, and I realized that it has Christmas lights inside it, so I asked permission and plugged them in. I knew there was some potential there, but it wasn't dark enough to catch it. I had one of my flashes in my bag and tried a few things with poor results. I didn't think about putting the flash inside it until I was leaving so I didn't get to try it.
Oh, and tinamarie, I just saw your post about the competitions and showing... THAT'S AWESOME! :-)
You need to reshoot with a solid backdrop, even a white sheet held up by 2 friends.....I am finding the backdrop to be very distracting.......Black would be better than white and as others said try flash at different angles to see what happens even in daylight....

When you come to a door... walk through it.
If it's locked... find an open window.

I like ChrisK's thought. It be fun to see flash popped off from the inside, to see what you get.
