Replace photo not working

Been trying off and on all day to replace two photos in one of my galleries. Keep getting "There was a problem replacing. Try again?" Trying again and again produces the same failure.
I'm using the Tools/This Photo/Replace route to initiate the identification of the photo to be replaced and to designate the replacement image.
Your problem or mine?

    Jerry please write our Support Heroes (yes, we're open, we never close!) but first be sure you are replacing with an image that is not too-large (over 24mb) or too big (over 48 megapixels) and also that it's in sRGB colorspace. Thanks.

    My replacement image met all those criteria. But the problem healed itself about 30 minutes ago. The replacements have been made.
    Thanks for the prompt response and have a happy, healthy, profitable new year.
