Stockyards Cowboy

The Ft. Worth Stockyards hires cowboys/cowgirls to ride around the stockyards area to keep a little of our old western history alive for visitors. They are always very kind and are a big hit with visitors, which by the way, come from all over the globe.

It always makes me smile when I hear a visitor from another country say to their traveling mate "See, I told you they all ride horses over here in Texas"

Nice image and a nice story here, Randy. Your composition was impeccable when you added the 2 flags. High 5 from me! thumb.gifthumbthumb.gifthumbthumb.gif
Sitting quietly, doing nothing. Spring comes and the grass grows by itself.

Superbly done, Randy. Lighting is nice and his expression is priceless. Glad to hear a plug for my adopted hometown!

Love the smile on his face. Makes me smile too :D

Craig had mentioned the stockyards to me when we we're heading down to TX. Sure wish I could of stopped by there. Next time hopefully I'll have time.

Nice one, Randy. I was just thinking....if they would give us a package deal, we could round up the posse and go there to be " tourist " riders. Hell, if the money's right we could even stage some gunfights.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

    Thanks Mary,

The stockyards are probably my favorite local place to shoot. You need to put it on your schedule next time.

A keen candid Randy thumb.gif Really am enjoying this clever composition of yours and the tale from being there. What would we do without a nice story to go with?

I guess if I weren't so lazy, I would include a little story with all my posted images... but...

Thanks for taking the time to look and leaving a comment Michael thumb.gif
