Renaming Sub-cat

This is not right. I try to rename a sub-cat from

"text_text_text"

to

"text text text"

and get the message

"That NiceName already exists."

Why is it not just changing the nice name to comply?

or how do I remove/disable them from my site, they are nothing but a
PITA. Hardly any of them match the gallery name because of the length
limit and that's what the public sees. :pissed

Smugmug's error handling on nicename stuff is not very good. It objects to your existing nicename when you're trying to rename which is a bug. The only way I've found to change the name slightly like this is to rename it to something completely different with a completely different nicename. Then, after that rename succeeds, rename it back to what you really want.

    Thanks John
I added an X at the end and removed the underlines.
Then renamed again removing the X.
Worked fine except for all the clicks, had twelve months to do.
