What experiences does anyone have in comparison against each type

    I have owned both glass and resin and some really cheap plastic and really cheap glass......Resin are a bit cheaper and less prone to breaking if dropped...but they are prone to scratching if mishandled or improperly cleaned.......I prefer the resin not only due to cost but also weight.......it all adds up after a while.

    I am looking at a vario Nd filter on ebay for $125.. made in china and glass.
    The resin version is $75.00

    I forgot to mention that if the filters are of the screw in type to be extremely careful and make sure they are
    made of brass so they do not seize up and basically fuse to the lens threads......inexpensive alum frame filters will do this....
    I prefer flat rectangluar filters like singh ray and Lee
