I have three very divergent ideas. Two I have begun to play with. The third requires someone to throw a baseball through my kitchen window, so I'm passing on that one right now.
Here are a few shots from a still life and light play with clear glass marbles on colored paper.
Are any of these working for you?
C&C please... I'm feeling a little creatively sparse these days.
Thanks.... Chris

The marbles are cool. I like #4 best, but maybe a little darker in the BG to make them pop more.
I'll wake up fresh and full of crisp ideas tomorrow!
Thanks for your comments.

Although I've seen it a couple of times before, but have you considered a perspective that would allow you to shoot at a level allowing the balls to transmit a subject from the other side similar to a lens. Similar to how photos will shoot a water droplet, with the the image of a branch in the background transmitted thru it... Not sure if that wording makes sense. Go here for an example of the technique

I thought the dutch masters comment very funny - and apropos! That could be any still life from the 1600s!

I liek #4 a lot because the shadows, light, and color are really interesting.
I appreciate how everyone that commented, seemed to communicate the same sense of underwhelment that I was feeling about these 2 ideas. Honesty rocks!
I'm on to other ideas. I hope to get some posted tonight.
Thanks, Chris
