Repair for a Olympus Pen EES

Hi all! I just dismantled the rewinder on my oldie but goodie Pen EES and ended up with all of the pieces in the last photo here:

For the life of me I can't figure out where/how that thin metal piece attaches. I know it was off the top of the winder, but where?? I'm sure it'll be really obvious once you guys point it out to me. Thanks in advance!!
