First tournament of the year. Team got 3rd, so not a bad start (lost first match to the team that won the tournament).

C&C appreciated.

I don't like the red floor!

Those are some nice shots but that red floor gives them all a weird look. I do like shooting volleyball but the conditions are usually tough. It's also tough to keep from getting a cluttered background. But I do love watching the game through a lens.

Again nice shots. You are way better at it than me.

In a case like this you can use the HSL controls in Lightroom or Camera Raw to specifically desaturate only the red to a level that looks more reasonable. Because that red floor color is reflected on absolutely everything in the room...skin, the walls, the ceiling...good lord.

Yeah, the reflections from the red & blue floor make white balance "interesting" (but not the good kind!).

    Thanks much. Appreciate the feedback.

I hadn't thought about using the HSL controls in LR. I tried all sorts of extreme tweaks to temp/tint trying to get rid of the purple ceilings, but getting them even close to ~white jacks up WB horribly on the rest of the photo.

I'm about convinced I'd have to resort to layers in PP to fix the WB separately, but I'm doubtful that would work correctly either because of how the reflections work. I'll give the HSL controls a try this evening... Good suggestion!

These are some good comments on the saturation. It seems that many of these rented courts that the girls play on are bright red or blue. I may try bumping down the saturation on my camera and see if I can take some of that out.
