    Love the sharpness in the eye and head. Western coyote?

    Ours here in the Maritimes seem to be heavier - stockier bodies and broader heads - more wolf-like.

    Thanks...probably fifteen feet or so. It's actually kind of cornered in this shot. I'm standing to his right, directly in front of him fifty feet or so is another couple with point and shoots and to his right at about one hundred feet a family is approaching who haven't seen him yet. Behind him is a vast area saturated with a real bad case of whoar frost which he seemed reluctant to traverse. In the end I let him have his getaway skulking behind me and to his right.
