Or this color:

Kind of a small bird, 15", has those fast movements of a sandpiper, IMO. It was feeding on the marsh at low tide along with many other types of birds. I thought it deserved a work up, but no picture seemed worth a work up of its own, so I decided to try this path. I left one photo out accidentally, and I may do it by itself, but this is the Willet.

Love the presentation. Like the first one best. The second one looks flat to me.

Love the presentationclap.gif I like the color version best. They are a very drab bird and difficult not to blow out.

Here a few of the West Coast cousins.

Out of focus but I like the water effect

    Thanks, Rich, Steve.

Rich, I like the close up you have. I didn't notice that it was soft. I like the reflection, also.

One thing I love about these birds is the under part of their wings. Auto RAW sure blew these birds, it is blowing every thing, very frustrating, wish it would get it right, save me some time. I am not as exact on something like this. But I do bring it down in RAW.

I really did get no reflections, very low tide (marsh). I don't have a way to get close to birds anyway. Not in the marsh.

I am going on a bird walk this AM, I hope. I am up anyway. Supposed to be a lot of migrating birds. I am after the raptors, I guess. Of course that means it will be something else. Smile.

    Hi Ginger,

I like the color version better! Seems like I have seen this layout "9 in 1" done with an Iris... only done in the form of 9 individual canvas paintings. Thanks for sharing!!thumb.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Hey Ginger,

I like the color version very much! And the presentation is very good, are you making a print of it? It will make a very nice poster I think!

    Well done lass :D

You know, I have a lot of fun working these "posters" up, I enjoy looking at them. They are an odd size, though, and I see no way to have them made in smugmug. I can't afford custom printing.

I would like poster sized prints of many of these, I am just having fun for the moment. But I would dread the moment someone would ask me how to get prints made.
