Two in One - Sandhill Cranes - Bosque

This one from our trip to Bosque last December and is definitely one of my fav. of the year.

Canon 7D, 500mm L @ f/8, 1/1500 sec, ISO 400, Manual exposure, FEISOL tripod, Almost full frame!

    Beautiful colors, perfect lighting, and what a subject! Sort of an optical illusion, too. The birds must be further apart than they appear.

    Nicely done Maxis. I always like these "x" wing dual crane images. This one reminds me of a framed photo I received this Christmas. I think it was also captured at Bosque. Looks good on my living room wall . This would make a nice wall hanger. I should have gone to Bosque this year. Maybe next time. Not sure I can deal with the cold after living here for so long.
