North and South from Castle Rock

These two photos were taken within five minutes of each other from the two sides of Castle Rock. This was shot near sunset and high tide one day after the huge snowstorm that blanketed the town. The seas were still rough from the tail end of the storm and made for some great long exposures.

I was out walking that afternoon (and I live inland!) I was having a hard time standing still - good on you for braving that wind with your camera!

I've taken the shot to the North countless times but never found the right comp for that South shot. I prefer that one for that reason alone.
As for the cold, it was bad...especially since I forgot my gloves at home!
