I'm a new owner of a Canon 7D.

My questions are;

What exactly "Peripheral Illumination Correction" do or means? and What "Correction Data Available or not Available" for some lenses means? :scratch

How this information or affect the peformance or usage of my Camera?. :scratch

"Peripheral Illumination Correction" helps to reduce/remove lens vignetting:

Thanks so much for your quick response. The transition from a Xti to a 7D is a whole new ball game.
