Varigated Fairy-wren
Hi all, I haven't post here for many years, but thought I'd come back.
So apologies for tardiness, and here is a small image I took recently as a peace offering.
I hope you like it.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

This is the female of the breed.
We have a few other species in the same area, and include the Red-backed Fairy-wren

I think I like the peace offering image best of them all - but it sure is a difficult decision to make!
I wonder how all those unfortunate Queensland wrens are dealing with all that nasty water...
Thanks. Our family of Superb Fairy-wrens are enjoying it I think. Very active and flitting about. The two little ones that hatched are growing very quickly, can't tell dad and son apart any more unless they sit next to each other, dad's a little bit bigger.
I must say though, I'm more worried about the people at the moment, 8 have lost their lives so far in the floods. Very sad, and serious situation. They are saying there is the equivalent of 2 Sydney Harbours flowing into our local catchment Wivenhoe at the moment. That's a lot of water, and the Dam is already at 150%.
