I finally came up with one idea for this 'glass' challenge. Is it any good?

Natural selection is responsible for every living thing that exists.
D3s, D500, D5300, and way more glass than the wife knows about.
yes! You're right now that I look at it like you suggested. Hows this?

I was shooting glasses and books as my 5th idea for this challenge. You might try moving the glasses away from the book or picture to get an exaggerated perspective through the lens.

When you come to a door... walk through it.
If it's locked... find an open window.
The picture frame has glass over the image along with nana's glasses being glass, too. Is it that bad?

so it doesn't matter that her picture is behind glass?

It's not about being good or bad. It's about glass..whether you interpret that as the glass on the frame or the eyeglasses.
I was just giving you my impression. the first thing that came to mind for me wasn't 'glass'. That's all.

What do you think about #4?
My first pic, its the first time I have taken a pic and it didn't have a reflection or bad shadow. I thought someone would notice.

Ditto! Shoot those frames (glass) in differing ways: light, dark, this-way, that-way...just glass!
Jenn, I noticed! I just now saw it though. You did an excellent job of lighting on that first one.Whatever you did, keep it up!
I do agree with the others that the theme of 'glass' might not be strong enough. While I see it, it isn't really strong.
Nana's glasses is an interesting shot. I like how she is in focus through the glasses and the rest is slightly out of focus. It seems a little noisy/grainy to me? Did you crop it closely? I would try to re-shoot it.

Forgive me for not noticing! THAT is a big accomplishment! No really!
Unless you are some kind of savant, expect equal trouble each time playing with new and different reflective things!
I'm just happy I got it to do it a couple of times. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get the right exposure!
I've found a good position for the glasses and frame that works with no reflection and I took alot of photos slighly different and at different exposures and white balance... I will probably try to edit them tonite and see if I had a winner!

Exactly!
thanks! Ok, I looked at it a while and saw a few things that bugged me about it.. so I fixed a couple of spots in the bg and burned in a few spots to make the glasses stand out more. Is this better than #5?

Do you likethe image better? If not, which one do you like best? If so, why do you think it is better?

Not sure what you mean about the crop? Won't I cut off the frame if I crop it on the right?
