ISO 800 | f 4.0 | 1/500sec | no flash
I shot this using a 36mm extension tube and 70mm lens. I probably should have used f 11, but was dim light and no flash. Is the eye in focus enough to work?

Works for me... A narrow depth of field is not always a bad thing. In this case the colors and composition easily give the picture enough appeal.

Good capture - not a moth but a butterfly.
I find the crop a bit odd with the butterfly perhaps too central.

looks like a small white butterfly,
dont think the crop works , shallow dof not too bad but would have been better if higher magnification
