Wow I suck

Looking back at my older photos (which I really need to pull a bunch off my site) I found that I really sucked at editing. Not that I don't suck now, but I think I have improved.

Yeah, that's right, super awesome huge moon in the shot.:rolleyes

Anyways, I went back, found the original file and re-worked it. Luckily I had bracketed the shot, so I put it through Photomatix and came up with this:



I like it quite a bit better than the original, since it is closer to what my eyes saw that day (love that about HDR).

Which do you like better?

Do I suck less now?

I think the first one would have been better if you included a few bats flying in front of the moon... or maybe a pterodactyl.

Why didn't I think about that! and maybe some lava coming out of the ocean!

Maybe could have superimposed a face on the moon is all that could have made the first one better .
It is a journey we all go through it.

What an amazing change! You sure have improved (and I'm sure many of us started from a worse place than you did.)

Definitely like the second edit much better. Amazing that Photomatix removed the huge moon.
