Eye fi cards will soon be able to use your mobile phone for a connection to upload your photos when you can't find a wifi hotspot :clap

Yet another great reason to get an Eye-fi card!

They're expensive... I prefer to just have plenty of 8GB and 4GB cards. Of course, I don't need anyone to see them until I get home and process them.

I wouldn't care about the expense if I even cared about cards that can do this... maybe for P&S vacation shots or something but other than that... *shrugs*

Eye-Fi cards are extremely cheap if you compare them to the solutions most camera manufacturers supply for wireless file transfer out of a camera. Eye-Fi are not for everyone but if they work in your camera and for your application they are not too expensive at all for wireless image transfer.

True, they're much cheaper than WFTs (why are they soooo outrageously expensive?!?) and if you need to get them somewhere to be processed then they are a good option. I don't know about transfer speeds, but with 4G they oughta get pretty good.
