I don't get to this NWR too often, but stole a couple of hours early one morning. started out cloudy with very few keepers, but got better right before I left thus the red-shouldered hawk...hope you enjoy...

    Very nice, especially love the Purple Gallinule.
    Think your sparrow is a female Red-winged Blackbird though.

    Wow! Stunning images. Especially like the purple gallinule.......something I've never seen. Background on the heron is really nice too.

    Okay, I like them all, but especially 3, , 6, 7, and 8. Really a great series when I can't narrow it down to fewer than 4 favorites! Great job!

    Too many good ones to pick just one or two. Looks like you had a very productive time.

    We do have some really nice birds down here.

    Terrific shots, Keith. Your teal shots and the blackbird have a real painterly feel to them. Anything special on the processing? The hawk shots steal the show though. thumb.gif
