I've pretty much landed on this image for the current challenge. I'm having trouble deciding between the color and the b&w versions. If I choose the color, I need to figure out how to punch up the color outside the window without over-saturating or under-exposing the interior subjects. I also need to clone out the distractions to the left of the window in the color version.

C&C alway appreciated.

I like the BW, but I do like the way the jar and the bottle stand out in the color version. I'd try to get rid of the wire hanging down.

I like this - nice angle, makes it look a smidge distorted, which works on this shot. Agree that it would be better without the wire but that might be tough to remove & to me the wire doesn't make or break the photo. Since you're not focusing on anything outside the window, I wonder if it would put more focus on the glass (& might make it look even older) if the glass looked foggier (like you can't really make out much through it). I also wonder what it would look like if you made it b/w on the inside & color on the outside (or vice versa) - a couple things to play with anyway!

Thanks for the thoughtful comments. I actually played with removing the wire, but I think it's actually an important part of the composition. I did take your advice and kept the color inside and made the parts outside the glass be b&w. Tried to make the glass both "foggy" and to allow the content of the exterior to be recognizable. I think it works pretty well. Now I just need a catchy title.

Time's about up... I guess this is what get's submitted. Results of the vote are less important than the stuff I'm learning here. Love the challenges!
