Bald Eagle Calling - Profile - Florida

After creating few images in flight, I was able to also create few portraits.

Canon 7D, 500mm L @ f/5.6, 1/2000 sec, ISO 400, Manual exposure, Hand-held!

    Hi Maxis, What a beautiful photo!! There is something about the eye that bothers me but I can't put my finger on it. The feathers around the head are amazing.

    It is a pretty shot...

    ...but I noticed the eye thing too right off.

    I think it's the black spec (natural...I think) in the iris directly across from the catchlight that somehow creates a distraction.
