So I had my first semi-boudoir. It was also my first time using OCF. I am looking for any type of critique with lighting, and poses. She was a little difficult to pose so that it was flattering to her. Thanks so much!!!

Advice from a girl who used to weigh 320 pounds (and not a professional photog at all).

First of all, this girl is extraordinarily busty. Depending on how she feels about that, I'd recommend either playing it up, or seeing what you can do to make her bust look a little more proportionate to her body. That can involve several options and the honest truth is boudoir photos are for a woman to dress and be able to see herself and be seen in a way that is sexy. I'd say play up what she likes and down as much as possible what she doesn't like.

First, photo #1, her breasts are off to her left (our right). No girl with breasts that large hasn't had to shift those things around a bit (take it from the girl who used to wear an 'M' cup). Making sure she shifts each one so they are more even can be helpful.

From there, she can roll forward on them a bit to downplay or make them look a bit smaller from the top, but don't forget...it has to go somewhere and may wind up being 'side boob' so you may want to consider a closer or cropped shot.

If she straightens herself and rolls back a bit, she will get a bit more toward 'comic book boob'. Another benefit (though she does look a little short waisted) is this can accentuate the length of her torso and enhance her waistline.

In #1, she is wearing nice heels. In #2, she is wearing a skirt. Having her lie in the same place, pulling the shot out and having her put her legs up in the air (think 90 degree angle) with ankles crossed (for longer legs) or side-by-side (for shorter legs), may give a nice shape or form.

    Another possible posing idea:

I don't know how comfortable this subject was with you. Think about having some long pieces of material. A boa, satin, a light wrinkled material. Drape it strategically over the parts of her body she does not want to show, and allow a little skin to show...this is a suggestive, but not pornographic way to go.

Roommate pointed out, photo #1, there is a lot of wasted space at the top of that photo. Cropping may be useful.
