With promise of a big swell, I was up and out of the house at the crack-o-dawn.

Here are a few from today and as always, C&C are welcome.

This kid was a lot of fun to watch.

I caught this guy last time I was out. But today, he was doing
tricks. 360's and big air--which I apparently missed. One of two
old guys showing they've still got what it takes. Another photographer
told me he was more of a big wave guy (think Riding Giants big).

This guy was just tearing it up. Lots of good stuff on each ride.

Here's Aurora doing her thing (mom stopped by for a look see).

At Steamers, the way in is to walk out to the point, take care of any
last minute stuff (like zipping up)...

...climb down the rock and jump right in.

Enjoy a cloudy morning surfing...

A decent size ian. From what ive tried its a battle not to get too much light as the water can wash the shot out....bit of a fine line.

    Any sharks in there ?

    There are...

I know of a few people who have had "brushes" with sharks round here, moreover you can see dolphins in the evenings especially in the winter when I think the sea temps increase marginally..

    ...

Ian! No phone call? rolleyes1.gif Sadly not this weekend I'm still working on getting over this flu that will not leave my chest now, although I did drive down there this morning but just couldn't be bothered as I couldn't stop coughing (very tiring...)

I've been bumped by dolphins in the surf before. The first time, well let's
just say it freaks you out.

I got there around 7...and now, I think I am coming down with something.
Was going to head back over this afternoon but was tired, I decided to
    hang here.

Oh, and Aurora has a masters (her mom was pretty free with the info).
Tried to find her mom before I split. Oh welll.

I was swinging the 70-200 w/1.4 aboard...a little short for the point
and just long enough for the surfers :) The 500 was just a bit too much
lens for today--unless it's head shots at 100 yds :D
