Crop not working

I cropped a photo this morning in a Smugmug gallery. After pushing the button to set the crop, it took forever (many minutes) to respond and eventually gave me a Smugmug error message (not a generic browser error message) that it had problems cropping (I don't remember the exact message). When I went back to the image in that gallery, it was successfully cropped. So, something is definitely acting up with the cropping tools. For me, the photo was this one: http://jfriend.smugmug.com/photos/1152664491_UoDYz-L-1.jpg.

Thanks guys, I have replicated. It is a bug. I have reported it to the programmers.

Crop photo & color effect having similar issues
Sorry, couldn't get back here when I was having the cropping trouble. I see it's been bugged. It's still having intermittent problems such as have already been reported. (random crops not appearing to work, & getting messages saying it's already being processed or something). But then sometimes later on it's indeed cropped in the gallery. Oddly, color effect is having some of the same trouble. I'm sometimes getting the message that the photo is already being processed, when I haven't done a thing with it yet. It has usually gotten corrected though if I check back later. The only effect I've used is "Auto".

Anna Lisa, are you still having trouble with this today? We did find and fix a bug a few days ago that should have helped with some of this. Please let me know if you are still seeing it.

I was having this trouble today, if you call 2 AM "today"! It wasn't a problem with every crop-- maybe with every third or fourth one though. I believe all of them eventually cropped. Color effects as well... eventually showed up. [ETA: yeah, its still happening today. Here's the error message: "Oops, something happened and we couldn't crop your photo:

* It looks like this photo is currently being processed. It can take a minute or so for the crop to show up in your gallery.

If this problem continues, please contact a SmugMug Support Hero."

I'm getting that message when I have definitely not been working on that photo ever before. ]

Still busted for me today. Tried it twice. Got an error both times. The first time, it reported an error and did not do the crop. The second time, it reported the error, but did carry out the crop.

me too, me too! I'm having the crop image/crop thumbnail problem also. What should I do?

Last night, I cropped a bunch of stuff. Got the same error message on about 2/3 of them, but all of them eventually were cropped. So... nfi : I would, for now until they fix it, do the crop anyway & hopefully most of them will eventually crop.
