This one happens to be my favorite shot of a Sandhill Crane in flight out of hundreds that I've kept and thousands that are in digital limbo somewhere.
That is oen sweet wall hanger Ric. Love the perspective and the comp.

Another nice crane shot Ric. What's your secret for getting these birds to fly? Mine will not fly for me. They walk right up to you and want to get in the car with you are walk in your house if you leave the door open. I think they have forgot how to fly.

Spectacular, Ric! My favorite, too. I love the green grass, the lighting is perfect, and the detail of the bird's feathers, and the open beak. Really a wonderful shot!

Thanks, Harry.
The dike road, naturally, is 5-7 feet higher than the marsh allowing for this view. As you know, Sandies take awhile to gain altitude.
Thanks, Gale.

Thanks a lot, Dennis!
Thanks, Joel!
I'm too lazy to look up your exif data. Did you use the dust pump for that shot? Great shot, no matter which lens you used.
