looks like a red tail :dunnobut how the _ _ _ _ does it hold it's prey:scratch

    Jeff, I'm thinking those are not the feet of the hawk, but of the prey it's carrying. See how the hawk appears to have two tails? I believe the black lower tail which is below the red tail actually belongs to the poor bird that's being carried away. Awesome shot! thumb.gif

    it was an old coot joke :D redtail in a very no sun So Cal day that is why the color is the way it is

    I should have put up a smile on the ID --thank you for the capture feed back I was very pleased with what I made from a very very bad light day :ivar but I think the red tail was more pleased than me:D what I missed was a coopers and another red tail going after it.
