Apologies in advance for posting a question I have also sent to the Help Desk, but I've got a time issue here and need an answer asap.

When you move a gallery, do the comments that were posted with that gallery go with the move?

Thank you.

The gallery and photo comments stay with the gallery/photo.

What do you mean by "move"? Changing cat/sub-cat under gallery settings
should only change pointers. Is "comments" still checked under gallery settings ?

I moved all of the contents of one gallery to a new gallery. Yes, comments is still checked.

I moved them the only way I know how (perhaps there's a better way that I don't know about):
    1. create the new gallery
    2. select all, select new gallery as destination, click move.

The captions went, no problem, but not the comments.

I just moved, changed category/sub-cat under gallery settings and the
    comments stayed with the gallery.

No, no, just change the category/sub-category under gallery settings to the
new gallery location. Assuming all you're doing is wanting all the photos in a
different area on your site, perhaps with a different gallery name. All this is
done under gallery settings, the gallery contents go a long with the ride.

Helpdesk should be able to reconstruct original gallery with comments.
