I have been ready a book about using Off Camera Flash and the author mentions a light funnel and he also mentions making one out of a chip can (Pringles Chips) he also mentions using a snoot and in a couple of examples he mentions using both. So my question is what is the difference between a Light Funnel and a Snoot? :dunno:dunno

A "snoot" is a recognized and commonly used lighting term for a lighting accessory that produces a more focussed and directional beam. The shape of a snoot can be either a funnel or a simple cylinder.

Stay with the term "snoot" and more photographers will know what you are talking about. thumb.gif

I agree and that all I have known. What had me wondering was that in the box there is a shot and they mention three flashes use one with a snoot one with a light funnel and one with a soft box. Because he mentioned them a separate flash setups had me wondering.
