Universal Power Pack?

I tried searching through past threads and couldn't really find any info to help me out. I am trying to find a portable power solution for my set of interfit ex150 lights as the interfit power pack only works with the stellar line of lights that they sell. I am saving for a better system but right now this set works amazing for me I just wish I could use it outside at night.

I have been looking at several generators and power packs that vary in price from 300-500 but I am not really sure what I am looking for and was hoping you guys could help me out.

Check out the innovatronix tronix explorer xt and see if your lights are compatible. I have one and love it. I've also used the alien bee vagabond II and prefer the tronix explorer much better. They run close to the same price.

I didn't find anything definitive in a quick search. The best thing would be to contact Interfit for their opinion:

    Interfit Photographic Limited
    420 Industrial Court West,
    Villa Rica,
    GA30180
    Tel: 1-866-947-9796

    customerservice@interfitphotographicusa.com

If they have no recommendations, and if your flashes use an analog controller (ask Interfit if you don't know for sure) then an Alien Bees Vagabond II Portable Power System has been know to work on a number of non-Alien Bees electronic flash units. Understand that you may void your warranty if you try any external power supply that Interfit does not recommend, so proceed with caution and at your own risk. People have been known to destroy their lights using the wrong portable power supply. (Not kidding.)

    http://www.innovatronix.com/compatib.asp

Compatibility list says 150i, but no ex150. You can e-mail them. Customer service is great.

Hello V.I. , thank you for the kind words. We value customer satisfaction above all.

@gtucker, our product falls within your price range. Also, the Explorer XT and XT SE are both compatible with the Interfit Ex 150 lights. I'm sorry about it not being in the compatibility charts yet, I'll be updating it soon. Here is a link to the Explorer XT: http://www.innovatronix.com/explorerXT.asp

email us with any questions you may have.. =)

Do you have a rough idea of how many shots I would be able to get with 2 heads at full power? I dont plan on using them on full power all the time but it would be nice to have an idea of how long they are going to last me.
