I see you've got the old creative juices cranked up again. I like the blues and the blacks at work here. Good idea....well executed.thumb

Thanks a lot, Tom. The blue light effect was caused by the camera set to Tungsten White Balance setting instead of the Auto setting. it made everything blue. The 2 bulbs are 60-Watts incandescent bulbs on a regular table lamp.

Great shot! Thanks for the set up info, too! I just might have to try this...
Thanks, Marjohn. I can't shoot outside (too cold for my arthritic hands) so I improvised inside the house. I believe you can easily do this with regular household stuff. Try it, then show us what you came up with.

Very cool! Thank you for showing your set up. That always helps. I have tried to get drops before without much luck. I think I'll try again now.

Thanks, Chris. At first I thought it was really a totally hard setup. When I googled it in youtube I saw a video and I tried to mimic it with what I have in the house. It was really nice to find out that even with simple stuff it actually works. When you try it, I hope you'll post your results so we can see it.

I've tried so many times to catch a drop of water and have never succeeded. You did a marvelous job
In you photo showing how you did this .. what is the lighter white disc above the pan? Just a reflection?

Yes, Mary. That's the surface of the water being reflected back to the white material. I'm glad you like the idea.
