I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

First time I have seen these kind of flowers, Tom. Do you have any idea what they are called? Very interesting and wonderful colors! thumb.gifthumbthumb.gif
Sitting quietly, doing nothing. Spring comes and the grass grows by itself.

I wish I could enlighten you, Jiro. I don't, however, have a clue as to their names. I shot all these on the campus of the Appalachian State University located in Boone, NC. That must be the most beautifully landscaped college campus in the entire country. It's a veritable botanical garden.

    Take care my friend,

    Tom

Lovely shots, Tom. It's so drab around here in winter so your flowers were a welcome bit of color today!

    Howdy Tom,

Neat Shots and love all the sharp details and lovely colors.

love that Purple in #2, not sure what all of them
are, but I think the Flowers in #1 are called Red Hot Pokers.

I'll bet I know someone that will know what they are, seems like
he's posted a lot of flower shots on here in the past :D:D:D
    Take care,

    Craig

Thanks for the kind words, Lauren. I think it's pretty drab all over the place. These shots were made in the Fall. The campus there really is the most beautifully landscaped and flowered one I've seen.

    Take care,

    Tom

Thanks for looking in, Richard. The combination of the purple and the odd color of green....almost chartreuse....was striking. There was a large section of a creek bank just covered with these flowers.

Well, Craig, you know how I feel about shooting flowers....it's best left to others who are better at it then I am. I thought maybe if I showed these shots, I could smoke " you know who " out of the closet and get him fired up again. We'll see if it works.

    Take care,

    Tom

Well, I hated having to offer myself up as the sacrificial lamb but it did accomplish what I was after. Old " you know who " surfaced amid all sorts of verbal clatter. Now we just have to sit back and see what floral fantasies he bestows upon us.
