At the end of the day I met a friend and wondered to a favorite spot in Kyoto for the last 40 mins or so of light from the day. Good times.

I like the first two best. If it were mine, I'd rotate #2 a bit so that the horizontal line was truly horizontal. Nice work. thumb.gif

Hey Richard, thanks a bunch. I must say I like #1 the best. Seems to have gotten over 500 views in the last two days too =)

None that I know of, but I don't follow contests at all. If you know of one please let me know =)

I really like #1. #3 makes me want to move to Japan, if you know what I mean.

I am actually surprised #1 is so popular as I was just a quick nothing shot at the time. And I think I have an understanding with you on #3, part of the reason I am still here in Japan, if you know what I mean iloveyou.gif

Looking at these on at home now. The last one I like a lot as well. I like the way the trees on either side frame the shot. I also like your use of dodge/burn to really bring focus to the door. Nice composition as well.

Glad to see you liked the last one as well. I had another shot of this, with a bit of a tighter shot with no tress, but I also like how the trees frame it so I kept with this one. And I didn't really do anything as far as burning/dodging to the door, that is just the way it looked =) Pretty nice place though eh!

Hmm... looks like there is slight vignetting on the sides where the trees are.. that's what I meant by dodging and burning.

1 and 2 work best for me. I really like 2 and I agree with Richards comments about alignment. Great pics! clap.gif
