I saw an article online about using your 100mm macro lens and holding a 50mm lens reversed in front of it. So when I saw frost outside I tried it...

Lovely frost crystals - you should be able to get around 3:1 max magnification doing that. You can get male-male reversing couplers that fit the filter threads of both lenses to make doing this a bit easier.

Thank you Lord V. I will look into the ring. It was fun trying to hold on to the lens, balance and sway and all that.
