Hi, I came across this old chapel just out side Cygnet, south of Hobart in Tasmania. Unfortunately it was on private property so it was difficult to get a good composition, but I am happy with the way it has turned out.

Thanks for looking, C&C always welcome.

Cheers, Richard.

Excellent image, Richard. I love the framing provided by the tree. All around, a great shot.clap.gif
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Hi, I have wanted to know it's history as well - I am waiting for a 'local historian' to hopefully get back to me. I'll keep you posted :D. Glad you liked the shot.

    Cheers, Richard.

There are probably a bunch of good shots to be had inside the building as well - hopefully the local historian can help you gain access.

Love the red roof. Don't see those around here.

Would be interesting to see the inside .. maybe someday you'll get permission to go inside.

Hi Randy, Glad you like it - the processing took quite a few attempts - it kept starting to look too much like a painting rather than a photograph.:D

    Cheers, Richard.

Hi, probably won't be going back to Tasmania until next year at the earliest - but I will definitely go back to this chapel. So far it appears to be a Methodist Chapel that was relocated from Cygnet to Lymington around 1950.

    Cheers, Richard.

Hi Mary, Red does appear to be the popular colour around these parts. 'NEIL' also posts Tasmanian shots on Dgrin, they have red roofs as well I've noticed.:D

    Cheers, Richard.
